Thursday 10/19/17 The Mutt

Conditions: crisp and cool. Perfect for a beatdown

Attire: (Yes, this is a Zoo thing) Many PAX breaking out their new Fall F3 wardrobe to accommodate the conditions. CI moving to a layered smedium/youth large ensemble, while others busted out their Waterproof shoes, toboggans, skeletor bandannas, and mittens. PAX looked sharp and ready for a melter.

5:00 am – Didn’t pull a “Scratch.”  (Yes – I’m still making that a thing). Grabbed Boombox, ropes (thanks CI) and a plan to get better that went something like this for these 23 HIM’s

Q – Zoolander

PAX – Glenross, Tiger, KA-Tina, Curly, Yazz flute, CI, Trump, Backdraft, Moonlight, Shula, Juicy, Whimpy, Busch, Old Bay, Wedding Singer, Digiorno, Spinal Tap, Stan, Gipetto, Spreadsheet, KIdnappervan, Mouth, and Zoo.

With Trump  visiting from the O… I knew we had to roll out the red carpet and immediately introduced his buddy Al Gore. Was going to add Bernie Sanders… But that would’ve been sad. So sad.

Thang 1

Grab a partner.   A partner… You know… That is sort of the same speed as you when it comes to running quarter mile circles around buildings.  Then find two other PAX that have partnered up and do the thang.  First 2 run around the school all ya got style… While the other two suckers are stuck back at home base doing Al Gore Merkens (pax1 al gore’s wile pax2 does incline merkins using pax1’s knees.) AMRAP until your 2 buddies come sprinting home. Switch, rinse, and repeato. Fun.

Thang 2

CI introduced me to the 20 second interval training at different stations thang a few weeks back. I loved it. So I stole it! And increased the intervals to 30 seconds… Because……well……everything is bigger at the Mutt.

PAX  formed a single file line, grabbed a workout station sheet from YHC,  and formed a semi circle around some killer tunes.  We did ropes, abyss merkins, coupon American hammers, merkins, flutter kicks, bear crawled from last station to first….we had a murderers row of burpees, and other F3 greatest hits. However, Unbeknownst to me – I also inadvertently sprinkled in a few complaining stations – as there were a few PAX mumbling chatter and errr compliments to YHC

You know what?  Thang 1 was a lot of fun. So we did that one more time. PAX told me I was a swell guy. Props to Zartan and Busch for asking politely if they could leave me in their dust for the last 400 yards. No problem fellas. I was headed to a complaining station of my own.

10 boo-yah merkins to spread the love and congratulate your fellow HIM on a job well done, and we were headed to name-o-Rama and COT………where Trump was the 6!  He explained to us that he used to be probably the best president  Audubon had ever seen. He  brags about not liking to brag… But seriously had to state that he simply he was one of the best most smartest and most Kindest presidents his club had ever seen.   He also granted a post “post” interview stating that the Mutt was probably – well definitely the best AO in town. And I quote, “Believe me when I tell you that I’ve been to a lot of AO’s in Louisville. A lot. Believe me. It’s like I go to AO’s all the time. And let me tell you That the Mutt is the greatest AO I have ever seen. Simply the greatest

We prayed for friends in the hospital, and those that were ill, and for Samstrong. We reminded ourselves that life can change in an instant, and we reminded ourselves of how lucky we were to have this great group of HIM’s.  We all  set out to be better men, and to do something nice for the M!
