Backblast 1/14 The Incubator

Pax: Dynomite!, Mr. Kotter, Pew Pew, Jolly Rancher, Ladybird, Dry Rub, Bob Ross, Deep Dish, Viking, Le Pew

Conditions: Didn’t look at the temperature, but pretty freakin’ cold. High 20s I think. A very fine mist welcomed us to the gloom.

Gave the disclaimer.  Mosey to the lot for COP which consisted of 15 SSH, 15 Grass Grabbers, and a minute or so of downward dog to stretch the calves.

Not quite mosey but not quite run to the I-64 underpass for some rock work.  Partnered up.

The Planned thang:

Partner 1 runs up the hill to the top of the bridge with a rock and completes an exercise while Partner 2 completes as many of possible of an exercise beneath the underpass.  Goal was to have an ab, upper, and lower targeted exercise per round.

Round 1

Underpass exercises: LBCs, Double Merkin Burpee, Bobby Hurleys (smack the ground, none of those half-butt jump shots)

Bidge exercise: Dip x 10 w/rock for all three phases of round 1

Round 2

Underpass: Dying Cockroach, Mountain Climbers, Squat Jumps

Bridge: Squats x10 w/rock

Round 3

Underpass: BB situps, T-Merkins, Jump Lunges

Bridge: Overhead Press x10 w/rock

The Actual Thang:

We made it to the squat jumps in round 2.  I may have overprepared a little, but that’s better than underpreparing!

Mosey back to the flag.  Told the PAX to give it AYG to the flag when they reach #thebridge.

COT: Count-o-rama to make sure we still had 11 PAX.  Name-o-rama. Announcements. Intentions.  Thanked the PAX. Prayed.
