BB 1/16 – BO PWVFD

As mentioned in my PB, today is my 1 year anniversary with F3. I have learned a lot about myself during that time. I have gained a new larger circle of friends since then.

7 Pax joined me for what I whimsically termed the loopty loop.

Fungi, Abacus, Cratchett, Capt. Crunchberries, Brown Water, Gisele, Gilligan, Kimble (Q).

There is a 1/4 mile loop around the FH. Disclaimer was given and we moseyed around the loop to the FH then we grabbed a coupon each. As I get older I am realizing the greater need for stretching. So, after 30 SAH, much of the rest of COP was based on getting loose. This included a back/hip stretch Radar (2.0) made up called the “Pretzel Hug.”

The Thang:

Board was set up with 6 sets of exercises. Each set consisted of 3 exercises with 20, 30, and 40 reps. Each set had an upper, lower and core exercise. Pax did a set then ran the loop. On return, set 2, then loop,…

with 5 min left we finished what we were on and returned the coupons. The Pax lined up facing the flag for some “mental exercise.”

I came across a speech by Matthew McConaughey last night. I kept listening over and over. I extracted a 2 1/2 min excerpt that I felt resonated with the credo of F3. We held plank/Al Gore for the speech.

Time was up and we circled the flag. Announcements about F3 awards, Monthly ruck, and St. Als help the hungry.

Intentions for known family whew the C word was mentioned as possibility for youth.

I circled back to the excerpt and challenged us to find the 5 things that we would measure ourselves by. And to tend to them daily. If we are successful in cultivating these, we will leave a lasting impact on those close to us and possibly farther away than that. Fungi added to find the 6 people in your life that will hold you accountable and told the Pax about Shield lock.

In closing I thanked Fungi for telling me a year ago “I will be at your front door at 5:15.” I have improved my physical, mental, and (yes) Spiritual shape.
