The big day. Naming day. Coronation day? I may have that wrong…kids got me watching too many Disney movies. Anyway, moving on…
Big hype coming into today, we have 3 substantial hills on Mayo Lane between US42 and Rose Island Road. If you traverse the three hills (aka Triple H) and slap the stop sign at the halfway point, that is the traditional full Mayo Lane Ruck from the Stable.
The turnout today was incredible. Huge crew from The Stable. Then we also had Sump Pump, Pizza and PCI and the NSFW Ruck guys showed up in a big way…..

5ish miles. Paces group today ranged from 14:50 min/mile to 18:00 min/mile. Something for everybody.
The elevation gain here is crazy. If you haven’t done it, come find us running this back at least once a month.
The hills. The first one is Holler Hill, dubbed by depends on a bootcamp workout over a year ago. The second one was TBD today. The third is H.T. Hill (IYKYK).
Naming….lots of names. Too many names. Names that were brought up as jokes were raised as options. Nonsense. Naming rules: The second hill had to be named by PAX in attendance and start with an “H”. Top contenders:
Pizza was liking: HIMs Hill (has a nice ring to it, ties in F3’s I get it, I like it)
The Schtable Boys brought:
Huckleberry Hill (“I’ll be your huckleberry”)
Heavyweights Hill (I’m doggin it!)
The NSFW guys brought two absolute firecrackers:
[CENSORED] Hill because it’s never as good as the first time
[CENSORED] Hill because Edelweiss Farm is at the top of the hill and calls a memory of The Sound of Music,
After we quickly determined that [CENSORED] and [CENSORED] were not actual viable options, we were voting on: HIMs, Huckleberry, and Heavyweights Hill.
First round of voting weeded out HIMs Hill (use it at another AO fellas). We are down to 2. A few guys had left so we only had 13 left to vote.

That’s 12 but we had 13 guys…..Sewanee is still trying to vote for HIMs Hill and didn’t vote. Big Main Character Energy! I think he wanted us to put him on top of the cooler and let him decide! No dice. Not happening. Not today!
The vote is deferred to the next Triple H ruck. If you want a vote, you will have to be there…..no lake trips (cough: mirada), no fart sacks (cough: depends), no undisclosed reasons….you know who you are,
Bottom line. This is an aggressive, challenging ruck. If you haven’t experienced it first hand, come on out. We need more votes to make sure this doesn’t end in a tie. No Main Character Energy allowed.
