24.09.27 PostBlast – Pleasantville – a Honeycomb Q

The pin on our website shows by Waldos, the preblast said by amplitheater, and the workout ended up inside the parking garage by Quills Coffee. Just finding your way around Pleasantville was an experience. This area has a lot to offer in the way of shelters and diverse workout areas which makes it very interesting especially if the weather goes south or in todays case from south. I will want to Q here again.

As the rain drizzled outside, illuminated by the adequate lighting from the residents of Norton Commons, I was wondering when these serious winds would hit- still thankful @SubPrime (site q) had a good backup plan. I dont think the storm ever really did hit us. As I stood there early wondering if I would be made fun of for my Honeycomb shirt, I discovered my playlist was busted, thwarted by some new profile policy of Amazon Music which still has me frustrated, but @Boy RD was also early and quick to react before the start and Music was streaming on time.

So I started there in the parking garage with the atypical disclaimer, then 6 did a 1/2mi mossy from garage to the amplitheater and back. We picked up a 7. Little did we know, we lost @Portabucket who was searching for us, probably due to low visibility of the increasing rains (Im going with that one). After some stretching we all ran up to the top of the garage for 1min and back down for a 2min demo of todays push. When we returned to the bottom. All but one started with an exercise while @Boy RD slapped on the spare ruck and took off for the push. When he returned he named the next exercise while @Showboat stole the show from Dink and hit the incline running. This went all the way around while we chatted like school girls, focused on form, and we ended up doing: squats, BOYOs, merkins, bigboys, american hammers, fwd lunge, backwards lung, and more squats (“Leg Day!”). Dink spinted the finale to the top and back, then we all did Mary: more BOYOs, gas pumps, and PicklePounders with @SubPrime potentially embarrassed as “car back” was announced. It was a strong finish- and we are ready for our weekend.

COT was serious and then we had a coffeeteria by our host Q (me). It was Kroger Columbia medium roast from a 12 cup drip pot then stored in a Stanley (man-type) thermos served with paper coffee cups 😉

Good job guys- thanks for coming, that was fun! – Honeycomb
