QIC: Maytag
Pax – 9: Meter Maid, Pelican, Dauber, Virginia Slims, Pyro, Little Jerry, Flex Seal, Steve-O
First Q at the county and rumor was that Pyro and the new south side HIMs would be stopping by to return some heavy go ruck equipment, so I trusted they would show and built the weinke around the gear that was coming. Thankfully, Pyro doesn’t disappoint and showed up with:
2x 80# bags
2x 60# bags
2x 40# bags
2x 45# jerry cans
We also brought a couple of rucks to supplement.
COP:
Everyone grabbed something heavy, and we carried it over to the portico and dropped it off. Did a quick mosey just to warm up. It was a balmy 37 outside so there was no need to run much at this traditional heavy WO. Hit some grass grabbers and downward dogs. At this point I realized the music was too loud because Meter, Dauber, and Pelican couldn’t hear each other but I’m pretty sure they were all just talking over themselves. Either way, I turned the volume down and got into the thang.
The Thang:
2 rounds of a heavy with a push. 15 minutes each round.
Round 1 – Legs:
60# bag – squats
40# bag – lunges
Ruck – Step Ups
60# bag – squats
40# bag – lunges
Ruck – Step Ups
80# bag – Dead Lifts
Partner Push with either the jerry cans or the other 80# bag. Push was over to some cones near the dumpster, but I was quickly informed that those weren’t cones. They were in fact NAVIGATORS and that confusion led the first group to walk right past them. Quickly corrected and learned an important life lesson on the subtleties of cones vs navigators that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
Round 2 – Arms:
60# or 80# bag – Chest Press on the picnic table
40# bag – overhead press
Ruck – curls
60# or 80# bag – Chest Press on the picnic table
40# bag – overhead press
Ruck – curls
Incline / Decline Merkins
Partner Push with either the jerry cans or the other 80# bag again to the NAVIGATORS.
Toward the end LJ and Dauber hit the playground for some pull-ups. They must be doing the pull up challenge and rumor is LJ is about to finish his 2025 pull-ups. Respect!
About this time, Meter started getting nervous that we weren’t going to make it back in time, so we grabbed the weight and carried it back to the startex with some lunges and squats on the way.
Finished with up to 7×28 of a Jack Web till 6:15.
