I advertised the full weinke in my preblast to give IPC participants the option to modify as needed. 5 still chose to come out. You know who wasn’t there? Jolly Rancher. I’m sure he has a good reason. Probably something like I forgot to set my alarm, I didn’t hear my alarm, etc. But at the time of publication of this backblast he has not offered that excuse. So now I’m going to ask anyone who reads this to text Jolly and ask why he didn’t make it this morning. Tell him he was missed. Tell him he can make it up by attending Vets on Friday. (Spoiler, I have the Q, and plan to bring the same weinke.)
I’m not sure if it was working under the portico that caused the muggy feeling, if it was the melancholy that Jolly wasn’t there, or if it really was just that darn muggy this morning. Either way, I think I sweat more than anticipated I would with the weinke.
Mumblechatter is never in short supply when Nutty is present. Conversation never stays in one place for too long, and if you take a breather, you might miss an entire topic. Sometimes he even tries to talk while the Q is counting.
Today was what I’m calling (stole from another F3 region) a “track and stack.” We started with a short mosey, then did 10 of each of the following (5 each leg):
- Split Squats (5 each leg)
- Single leg dead lift (5 each leg)
- Reverse lunges (5 each leg)
- Single leg Glute bridge (5 each leg)
- Single Leg Calf Raises (5 each leg)
Complete the quarter mile mosey, complete the same list, adding 10 to the count.
Rinse and repeat as time allows.
The idea of the weinke wasn’t to elevate your heart rate, although if you wanted to push the pace, you most definitely could have gotten there. I wanted it to be more about slow controlled movement.
