Temple of Gloom Back-Blast at the O. Vincent’s VQ. 12/7/17

After reading the weekend blasts it occurred to me that due to my novice Q experience I forgot to actually list the 14 attendees. They deserve credit for their early morning efforts on 12/7. Credit Glen Ross, CI, OJ, Pope, Abacus, Red Roof, Situation, Trump, Scratch, Loco, Bean Counter, Cardinal, Gillespie and Double Down!!

14 PAX emerged from the gloom for my “V”Q. It was a crisp 33 degrees with the moon lighting out way. We started with a quick warmup around the flag – arm circles, grass grabbers and imperial walkers. All to warm up the critical muscles for the tasks ahead. Everyone grabbed a coupon and headed to the tennis courts.

Tone Setter to start the workout – Suicide across all 4 courts with descending burpees 4,3,3,1. More of these would follow.

Thang 1 – 20 Merkins, 20 Curls, 15 Rows, 15 Overhead Press – followed by suicide burpees.

Thang 2- 20 Incline Merkins, 20 squats, 15 Upright Rows, 15 OH press, followed by… you guessed it – suicide burpees.

Thang 3 – 20 Decline Merkins, 20 Curls, 15 Straight Leg Dead Lifts, 15 OH press and… another suicide burpee.

The PAX handled this well but was pretty quiet. They might have been a little winded. The only issue was when Q asked Sully for a 10 count. Sully was not there and I was calling on Beancounter. Mea Culpa.

To give everyone’s arms an legs a break we circled up for a little C.O.A – DaVinci Sit-ups, Freddy Mercs. American Hammers, Mountain Climbers and LBC’s. 15 ea IC.

Pope was having so much fun we repeated Thangs 1-3, yes including the suicide burpees.

Total count: 7 suicides, 70 burpees, 120 Merkins, 90 OH press, 80 Curls, 30 BO Rows, 30 Upright Rows, 30 squats and 30 Deadlifts.

Coupons were returned and we circled up for intentions and announcements.

“Q” was honored to lead the group today in a challenging workout. Max effort was given and we all got BETTER today.
