1/4 BackBlast Black ops @ Charlie Vettiner #TheHue

I’ve been to this park 100 times over the past 5 years as a Jtown resident.  That being said, I’ve never been at 5am.  A few observations; it’s dark (like no lights dark), really quiet, with a spectacular view on clear mornings.  The park sits a bit higher than the city of Jtown, so you’re basically at the top of a bustling metropolis.  The park offers a unique set of training opportunities that I can’t wait to explore in the near future.

 

Ive heard some of you say you have a hard time sleeping before Qs either due to excitement or nerves.  Personally, I hadn’t experienced that until last night.  I’d done my homework and scouted the park, but this is in my back yard.  A future AO, that I felt the need to inagurate her properly.  That’s a lot of pressure, atleast for me I put the pressure.

I also wanted to give a name to this sight but wanted it to come naturally, not forced.  In the middle of the WO while performing gas pumps on a solitary wood bench type thing, I noticed the sun beginning to rise.  It basically set the horizon a blaze in a beautiful orange hue. Thus it happened “naturally”

took off on a mosey around the base of the park about a quarter mile.  Stopped for YHCs favorite heart rate increasing exercise.  THE BURPEE

continue to move and mosey around the bend and down a hill.  You guessed it!

Thang!!

a unique fitness track graces the grounds of #TheHue.  This was a #KiloCircuit, where each pax worked a station while one pax ran the track.  Switch called when running pax returned to next workout station.  Stations as follows

pull ups

Balance beam triceps walk thing

decline sit ups

isolated merkins

gymnist ring pull ups

gas pumps

 

2 revolutions around and PAX and YHC were exhausted.

Back to flags the way we came in where at  COT we heard about how Woodstock made his way to F3.  He’s a strong young HIM in between the Navy and the Airforce.  Thank you for your service sir!  Much respect!!
