For the 9 of you who read my Pre-Blast, you’ll understand why I wanted to do a BlackOps at St. Patrick’s. On Tuesday I posted on Slack to see if there was any interest in doing a WO there & immediately got some positive feedback (I only needed 5 to HC) so the WO went onto the schedule.
I got to the location at about 0510 to set up & when I was done went over to meet the PAX who had arrived. Needless to say, I was excited to see 12 PAX (not including myself) show up for a BlackOps just 2 days after throwing it there.
PAX

At 0530 I gave the disclaimer that I am not a professional, I’ve received no training, everything I say is a suggestion, & modify as needed. With that, we were on our way on a mosey. Given a WO has never been done here I thought it’d be a good idea to show the layout so we went up the front side of the Parish, around, & back down to the backside to circle up for COP.

COP
- (20) SSH IC
- (20) Abe Vigodas
- Calf & leg stretches
After that, it was enough with the pleasantries & for what I planned the PAX was going to need to have a full tank. We moseyed over to the base of a hill that goes up the back side of the church/school. This hill in its entirety is roughly 160 yards, but I was feeling compassionate this morning so we only used 120 of them. I explained the Thang:

*Early finishers were instructed to get going into their Mary of choice while waiting on the six.

Once all of the PAX completed their 5th round we moseyed over to parking lot that has a concrete wall standing roughly 30+ feet that lines the left side of the lot. I instructed the PAX to pick a parking spot to serve as their “lane” for Thang 2.

The goal was to get through 4 & 2, but time didn’t permit. At 0613 we moseyed back to the meeting point.

- Announcements
- We got some PAX from across the river who consistently make the effort to post at WOs across Louisville. These PAX are working to establish an AO in Southern IN & it goes without saying, but we should be there to support them. Typically there is a scheduled WO on Saturday from 0700-0800 at the 4H Fairgrounds in New Albany. GO SUPPORT THEM!
- Intentions
- Multiple PAX members asked for intentions for various people in their life with an array of reasons. Our thoughts & prayers are there for each & every intention…both spoken & unspoken.
As I heard my brothers ask the men around them for their thoughts & prayers for the people in their lives it hit me pretty hard. Taking it to the SkyQ I asked the PAX to truly appreciate our blessings because we really don’t know when or how our lives can be impacted. I encouraged the PAX in attendance & those within F3Louisville to take the time to truly appreciate the present…the now. Embrace the time you spend with your M & 2.0s because there is no guarantee of tomorrow will be as good as today. Regardless of the location, it’s always privilege & humbling experience to Q.
Nino out.
