BB – 7/16 Rooster at the Mutt

My apologies to those that attended for the delay in getting this out.

PAX: Blueprint, Tiger, Geppetto, Plumb Bob, Sump Pump, Cowbell, Mouth, Glen Ross, Deuce, Noxeema Jackson, Wham-O, Grinder (Q)

We started with a lap around the school and a standard COP warm-up. Next, we headed down Brookfield for a Scout Run with the Scout sprinting ahead for a ten count the doing two burpees before heading to the back of the line. We stopped at St.Matthews Avenue and attempted to Bear Crawl to Leland (after me telling Deuce we wouldn’t need gloves…sorry, not sorry) but got interrupted by some confused and erratic early morning drivers. So, we picked it up and did another Scout Run up Leland and back to the big lot.

Upon our return, we did a new routine of mine called the High Five: five reps of five exercises (all slow and in cadence) then five back-and-forth sprints across the lot. The five exercises were Burpees, T-Merkins, Mountain Climbers, Copperhead Squats and V-Ups. After the sprints, we’d repeat the five reps of the five exercises then do four back-and-forth sprints, then three, then two, etc.

Afterwords, we had time for a little Mary – LBCs, Flutter Kicks, Pretzel Crunches and One-Legged Flutters, the usual Grinder faire. Finishing right on time, we headed to COT where I said some really profound stuff. Since that was over a week ago, I have no recollection what exactly I said, but I’m sure it was life-changing for most there.

Regardless, it was great to be with my boys. There’s no place like home. Mutt4Life.

Grinder Out.
