8/17/2019 Ruiner BackBlast

PAX: Violet, Plumb Bob, Tureen, OJ, Wham!, Vincent (Respect), Buschhhhh, Trump, Pope, Mayberry, TeaCup (FNG), Cutless, Zima, Nugget, Digiorno, Glen Ross (Q)

 2 years ago today was my first post at the O so I was pumped to be back out the O this morning at the original workout—The Ruiner.  Set 2 alarms and got up super early.  Also had to load up the car with cones, cooler (just waters), and $7 worth of bananas.  Loaded up the fanny pack with speaker (lots of Kenny Loggins for Pope), phone, gum and weinke.

Digiorno sent out a late message for some EC and was already there when I got to the O at 6:30.  I set up the cones and joined him in the cage for some pre-ruiner EC.  Pope and Violet joined up too.  I left to get the pre-workout tunes set up.   Park was packed today so waited a bit longer to issue disclaimer and then mosey back over to the cage for warm up (7:02 start):

Start with original slaughter start—line up for burpee suicides.  4 courts—stopping at each court for 2, then 4, then 6 then 8.  Pax wasn’t thrilled with this but knocked it and everyone warmed up and ready for Half-Pipe DORA

Basically ripped off CI’s Q from 3 months ago and I paired up the Pax and each group grabbed a coupon and we moseyed over to the Half Pipe.  Partner 1 runs the HP, while other partner does coupon work

150 incline merkins, 250 curls, 300 bench press.  This took about 20 minutes so I decided to roll in some partner big boys— each partner does 15 big boys (Ace and Gary), then as a team run the half pipe together.  We repeated this 3 times. 

Half Pipe is awesome—an F3 gem at the park and really can only be used when light (eliminating most weekday workouts) and dry, so really only 20 times a year and my first time I used for a Q.  Grab coupons and mosey back to the field for some cool down.  Fanny pack broke but it was great to have a true HIM like Plumb Bob pick it up and carry back to the field.

 At the field—directly behind the restrooms I had set up some cones—3 stops and pax as a group would do exercise at each stop. 

First time up was 25 merkins at each cone, then we did SSH, then back to partner work with coupon curls and more presses—with more running in between. 

Ended at 7:58 (needed to finish a few minutes early so Buschhhhh could race Zima’s daughter).   Mosey back to the flag for COT with ice cold waters and bananas.  All in we covered nearly 4 miles today!

Intentions and closing:  So thankful for this group and had a great time out today.  Keep working those headlocks and encourage or re-headlock someone that’s inactive (see updated weaselshaker for inactive list) .  Its great to see Cutless and Mayberry back in the Gloom
