9-4-19 Backblast HEAVY Blender at the MUTT

This was the 4nd installment of the HEAVY Blender at the Mutt.  Anyone that has Q’d a heavy workout knows that the planning for one can be tricky.  You need enough equipment to accommodate the masses but you also want to make sure there’s not too much going on for everyone to get through it all.  So far the Blender has brought out great numbers, over 20 each time.  So to make sure everyone gets a good solid burn in a 45 minute time frame, things need to be efficient and the pax need to be ready to work!  I Q’d this two weeks ago and decided to basically just run that one back again with a few tweaks to make it run a little smoother.  Yesterday couldn’t have gone better!

Pax: (23) Geppetto (Q), Buschhhhh, Captain Insame-o, Rih Rih, Snowman, Glen Ross, Meatball, Cornbread (R), Larry Flynt, Tureen, Old Bay, Plumb Bob, Sump Pump, Pope, PED, Fridge, Fall Guy (R x2), No Show, Backdraft, Pepperoni, Diablo, Zartan, Wedding Singer

Zoo Gear: Blue Nike tank, black Nike hoops shorts, Soloman XA Enduro trail shoes

Weather Conditions:  Ideal

COP

I know it’s not ideal, but I gave instructions in my pre-blast for everyone to come a few minutes early and get stretched out OYO.  Quick count off and had 22 pax on hand.  Perfect! I had 11 stations and we were going to work in pairs!  Ran through what were going to do at each and sent the pax off to work… Then true to his name, No Show walks up 5 minutes late.  No worries we figured out how to work in a third and we got after it.  Here’s what we did.

Heavy 9-4-19

New to this one was the “wheelbarrow” climb up the steps.  Apparently these are in the F3 Exicon as “Rick Flairs”.  Pax seemed to enjoy these.  Also big shout out to Glen Ross.  His jump rope ability has gone from ridiculous to just pretty bad.  Way to get better!  We finished the last of the stations with two minutes to spare.  Pretty great Q job if I do say so myself.  Quick round of Catalina Wine-makers to put a cherry on this beat down.

COT

Great turn-out for all four Heavy Blenders so far.  Wednesdays at the Mutt were generally our lightest attended day so hopefully the pax genuinely like the variety and it’s not just a novelty.  Time will tell.  Thanked the pax for coming out in such numbers and challenged them to Q it and bring even more creativity to the workout.  Intentions were said for Big Papi as he starts the next chapter of his calling.  Also prayers for Larry Flynt as he approaches the one year of his mother’s passing and for the positive effects F3 has had on him since then. Until next time.

Geppetto out!
