If you read the pre-blast, you’ll know I was ready for a rainy Saturday morning. When I arrived at the O the sky was gray but no rain. PAX that made it out to the Gloom – Drysdale, Meatball, Wham!, Violet, Tron and Vincent (Q). As soon as I got out of the car and planted the flag it started to sprinkle. “Here it comes” I thought. But then it quickly stopped raining and we started the workout with a mosey around to the tennis courts which were for the most part dry. Taking advantage of the situation, I audibled and worked some Mary in right after COP so we could get it in before the rain started. Below is what the hour looked like:
COP –
SSH
Copperhead squat
Grass grabbers
Single leg dead lifts
Imperial squat walkers
Toe taps
Mary –
Freddy Mercury
Pretzel Crunch each side
Flutter Kicks
Run a Lap
Burpee Time Bomb – think of a merkin time bomb from plank but it was burpees and Al Gore. The first person started burpees counting to 3 out loud and finishing at 10 before going back to Al Gore to wait his for his next turn. We made it from 10 down to 1.
Run a Lap
Thabata x 2 – Run a lap between
Dead lifts
Squats
Coupon Swings
Thrusters
Curls
Man Makers
Lap
Jump – Van Halen’s “Jump” holding Al Gore and doing a jump squat every time the song says Jump.
We finished with COT and gave thanks for all of the blessings we have. As I was rolling up the flag to head to coffeeteria it started raining again, this time a steady drizzle and it did not stop. We were blessed with a dry Post and I silently thanked the Sky Q as I drove away from the “O”.
