Today’s Objective at The County was twofold:

  1. You vs. You Challenge: the PAX pushed themselves to their limits limit then broke through them. When we set goals for ourselves this year they should be lofty, and difficult to accomplish. If you believe in yourself, and your abilities, you will accomplish anything you set your mind to.
  2. Pick Up the Six: Our brother Big Bird is out with an injury. He has been a leader and source of encouragement to the PAX, and today he made us all stronger. We all go through vulnerable times, some injuries are more obvious than others. We all grow stronger when we help push (or pull) each other through hard times.

0530: After the disclosure we moseyed to the COP pulling 130 pounds of coupons and Big Bird on the Viking Ship. Here’s Bird’s perspective:

COP:

  • Nuclears: 10 – 8

  • Kindred Newman’s (spelling off I’m sure) OYO

  • Mosey to to the coupons

Thang:

19 PAX lined up for an AMRAP challenge. The exercises were:

  • Merkins
  • Big Boys
  • Overhead Coupon Press
  • Burpees/Man Makers
  • Curls
  • Squats

PAX performed each exercise while two pushed (or pulled) Big Bird around the AO on the Viking ship. Big Bird inspired every one with words of encouragement and his determination to be out ITG with us.

Every man took record of the reps they performed so as to see how strong they are now with the intent on revisiting the Q at year-end 2020 to measure progress.

MARY:

100 flutter kicks pausing for a ten count at sets of 25. My goal for the County men is to get to 100 continuous in Cadence. We can do it – I know we can.

COT

Iron Sharpens Iron – I have grown stronger both physically and spiritually in 2019 because of the men of F3. The gloom is the time where we can find our own potential by pushing others to find theirs. I look forward to getting better in the gloom with all men in 2020 and beyond!
