I love making my way down I-265 southbound to visit the PAX at Vets.
PK, the Tank Site Q, was instrumental in head locking me out of the fart sack some time ago – and I haven’t looked back yet. The Vets AO and PAX definitely have something special. Not sure what it is, but the site is pretty much perfect for what we do and the mumble chatter is top notch. Carry on, gents, and well done.

After a quick disclaimer, making sure the PAX knew that although my name was Jolly Rancher that I in fact WAS NOT a professional, we got busy. I did inform the PAX that there would be limited running…which I think PK was pleased with considering he called me on my drive over implying that the fart sack was strong to quite strong that morning and he wasn’t going to make it due to a long night on Tuesday from a “soccer game.” Never heart of that drinking game…maybe he’ll introduce me to it one day.

Thang – Zachary Tellier WOD
My man, Big Bird, ran this workout of the day some time ago back at the Pewee Valley Black Ops and it sucked. And, with the increased crime and robberies going on in Jeffersontown with someone walking away with the coupons, I figured this may be a good one to run for the Vets PAX. The good news is, it equally second the second time through. The workout consisted of five rounds – and in between each round there was a lap around the monument.
- Round 1:
- 10x burpees
- Round 2:
- 10x burpees
- 25x merkins
- Round 3:
- 10x burpees
- 25x merkins
- 50x lunges – jump, forward, backwards – doesn’t matter
- Round 4:
- 10x burpees
- 25x merkins
- 50x lunges
- 100x big boy sit-ups [these sucked during this round]
- Round 5:
- 10x burpees
- 25x merkins
- 50 lunges
- 100x big boy sit-ups [these most definitely sucked in this round]
- 150x squats
Everyone made it through the full workout…except for Drysdale that had to bounce a little early. Or maybe that was because I ran out of songs on my play list and the music dried up…I’ll let you be the judge.
Time was called at 0615am.
