BB – 02.01.20 Squid @ The Fog

The Fog lived up to its namesake today. There was a cool damp air settled over Posh. I showed up a bit early and got to take a lap around the parking lot with a few of the runners.

QIC: Squid

PAX: 11, Mr Kotter has video and attendance report

At 0600 11 HIMs circled up for a little COP.

Runners Stretch
Cobra
Stretched out wrists

Depending on weather and turnout, I came with two WOs prepared. Weather was good and turnout was great so we moseyed to the egg lawn and went looking for strangers.

We lined up in a single file line. The first person would peel off and perform an exercise while the PAX traveled past in various ways. Once the PAX line was past the exerciser, he yelled “6” and the lead HIM would peel off and begin the exercise. This continued until all had performed the exercise. There was one caveat, we would say “Good Morning” to all runners we encountered. If they returned the “Good Morning” we would immediately do 5 burpees. The group quickly hoped for a lonely morning at the park!

Do-Ah-Diddy-O-Death
(Method of travel – Exercise)
● Zombie Walk – Zebra Butt Kicks
● Bear Crawl – Dancing Bear
● Crab Walk – Smurf Jacks
● Duck Walk – Sphinx Merkin
● Bernie Sanders – Sumo Squat

We soon learned that we shared the park with some incredibly kind strangers, with the exception of one stone-faced male runner. He seemed suspicious of 11 grown men duck walking in through the park. In all, I believe we were greeted about a dozen times. PK is either the most social guy I know, or he just loved seeing the PAX busting out burpees. Much to the PAX dismay, he was eager to greet all runners no matter how many times we had already encountered them.

After we completed the trip around the lawn, we turned back and did a little duck ‘n’ weave to complete our mile of mayhem.

We moseyed back to the lodge for some mary work.
We did a couple minutes of Cut-a-Flip and then the PAX each lead an exercise of their choice. At this point, my memory of the exercises became vague. They all felt equally miserable, except for PK choosing the most torturous by far.

We ended with some cool down stretches so our well-worked muscles wouldn’t seize up.

COT:
Announcements – Ruck 2/15/15, Men’s group at Southeast if interested
Intentions – Tony Malito’s family, men of F3 as we try to be the leaders we were created to be in a world that directs us otherwise.

The mumblechatter was great, the strangers were kind and the body was tired. Thanks for having me out!

Until next time,
-Squid
