The air was crisp this morning as I pulled into the lot at the Bridge with the temperature hovering at 35 degrees. I didn’t really know if it was going to rain or not this morning so I decided to forgo my usual elaborate Q weinke for a drummed down straight forward workout that could be done in the open or under the pavilion. Turns out it worked great as the ground was still quite wet.
9 PAX showed for the ensuing beat down: Dry Rub, Stick Up, Ripple, Double Down (R), Jitterbug (R), Tenderfoot, Potter, Dynomite!, Cowboy (Q)
Mosey to coupon lot for warm-up which consisted of: 30 SSH IC, 20 Imperial Walkers IC, 15 Abe Vigodas, 15 Grass Grabbers IC, Leg/Arm stretches, OYO Michael Phelps.
Thang 1 – PAX partnered up and grabbed a coupon per pair then headed to pavilion. The weinke was a simple “Improvement Plan” board of exercises. They included:
- Manmakers (coupon)
- Squats (coupon)
- Curls (coupon)
- Merkins
- Air Presses
- Dips
- Jump Lunges
- Rows (coupons)
- Big Boys
- T-Merkins
While one partner AMRAP the first exercise, the 2nd partner grabbed a lap around traffic island (approximately 1/4 mile). Upon return, switch for that exercise and then move on down the board as each pair worked. I think most made it to the dips or lunges.
Thang 2 – We moseyed to return the coupons and then the PAX circled for 50 more SSHs IC.
Mary – We moseyed back to the pavilion for Mary where we completed the following:
- 50 BBs IC
- 15 Pickle Pounders IC
- 20 Flutter Kicks IC
- 20 LBC OYO
COT – Returned to the flag for CoR, NoR, Announcements, Intentions, and a quick word to the Sky-Q. I challenged each PAX to give others a measure of grace as they go throughout their day because we don’t know what another might be going through in their life. Although the morning gloom may be the hardest thing we have to deal with each day, for others, they may be dealing with something far more unimaginable.
Honored and humbled to be the Q for the fine HIMs at the Bridge this morning!
