Back Blast – Wisteria @ Pleasantville – 02/07/2020

Alarm went off on Friday and I really didn’t want to get up.  But, being the Site Q at Wisteria I really have no choice.  Grabbed my phone to check the weather so I can plan my gear accordingly – found a text message from Flounder that he sent while I was snoozing [at about 3:30am] that suggested his 2.0 was going to the ER with his M as she may have broker her arm.  Needless to say, he was in no position to Q.  Fortunately, just seems like a sprain so she’ll be just fine.  Greatly appreciated Flounder for tracking me down to give me the heads up.

But, this means I had to pick up the Q – never fear.  I got this.  My commute to Pleasantville is around 18-minutes on average, so that’ll leave me plenty of time to come up with a wienke.  I continued to check the weather only to find that it had snowed and was still snowing.  Doh!  Had to get moving incase the roads were bad…couldn’t be late!

Unfortunately, there was already a bunch of idiots on the road at this hour and I couldn’t really plan a wienke because I was too busy trying to stay on the road and not hit all of the other idiots.  Never fear!  I’m a profess…no, sure am not.  The disclaimer said so.

Rounded up at the flag around 5:30am to find a total of 10 PAX waiting for a beat down.  How amazing is that?  Guys crawled out of the fart sack, encountered snow and cold weather, all because they wanted to get better and push themselves in whatever direction they need to on their journey.  I love this stuff man!

PAX:

  • Stick Up
  • Buzzsaw
  • Potter
  • Mayhem
  • Holy Roller
  • Milton
  • Handbook
  • Double Down
  • Captain Crunchberry
  • Jolly Ranger (Q)

Disclaimer was called and we got busy right at the flag.

COP:

Quick warm up, which included:

  • SSH – it’s not an F3 workout without them!
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Hillbillies
  • Toy Soliders

We then set out for a mosey over to the school.  The goal of the mosey was not to run each other over, but just to get loose and stay upright while running on the snow.  Which sucked, by the way.

Once we got to the school, it was time for the one and only Thang.

The Thang – 21s:

It was simple.  Captain Insane-o did it several months ago.  And it sucked then so I figured it would probably still suck now.  It did.  Start with 20 reps on one end and run to the other end of the parking lot with 1 rep.  The exercises were:

  • Merkins
  • Squats

And then go all the way to 1 rep and 20 reps.  My arms still hurt.  And it’s Sunday.

We set out for a mosey back to the flag.  I told the PAX that we had to go a little slower than normal, because if we got there too early we’d have to do something else.  Holy Roller didn’t care.  He was gone in a hurry.  Captain Crunchberry at some point decided to try and join him up in front.  Luckily, the PAX all made it back around the oval and time was called.  Perfect!

COT:

We did the normal – count-a-rama, name-a-rama, announcements and intentions.

Looking forward to next time!

Jolly Rancher out!
