Wasn’t going to write a back-blast for this one since the chocolate challenge thing proved to be a bust and just mainly a trick to get people to care about back blasts for a month. But I found myself with some more time on hands tonight since last night Primetime told me he doesn’t want to play football this year and I think it’s kind of weird if I coach other kids in football since I don’t really know that much about football outside of what I learned on Madden. So here I am writing a back blast when I would have normally been at football.
I don’t really remember agreeing to Q today but I think PCI may be a site Q like Flip Flop was—IYKYK.
We had 16 show up for the workout and we moseyed to the front where we got our 17th. I don’t want to type all the names out but they are in slack if you need to know. We did some standard warm up stuff and there was lots of mumble chatter going on—we ended COP with 10ish merkins.
At that point we started a mosey to the back and some random slow white truck started following us. It stopped and out jumped Mama’s Boy! He ran for about 10 feet and then went back to his truck. Many PAX were confused, ok all of them were but some of us know Mama and some don’t. Yank asked—do we know him? Ha yes we do. Side note-Mama’s the football coach and I thought he was there to see if I was serious about PT deciding not to play. He wasn’t, I don’t think…but I don’t really know why he was there.
Anyway we went to check if the chicken dinner grease was gone under the portico—it was for the most part so we did the thing I planned. Partner up and 1 partner does 3 F3 gallops and then run up the hill and back while the other did step ups then switch out. 2 rounds of that, 2 of dips and 2 of derkins. Lots of good music with some cuss words but Yank didn’t hear many of them. Also Mama came back and did a lap with Dauber, then he left. It was awesome—miss his energy in the gloom.
We then did 7s which are like 11s but done in less time. We did v ups, Mario down and did did burpees then we Bernie’d back. We mainly finished and then closed with some stretching.
Said our intentions, talked about F3on3 and the monthly ruck and even name McStuffins who after talking to Captain Crunchberry twice decided to post at the County all the way from Phoenix. Hope he sticks with it, he has a small car so I think gets good gas mileage.
Surprisingly Airplane didn’t show even though he had talked about walking over the day before.
It was a great old school county morning with a nice mix of OGs, new Gs, FNGs and Meter. Have to end this cause I’m watching this TBT thing on TV. Kind of weird but the Louisville team is actually winning for once so I need to focus.
