As I said in the preblast, the day before Father’s Day at The Nest is my favorite workout of the year. I am immensely blessed to have all of you F3 goofballs in my life, but I am most aware of it on this day when my 2.0s all come out to workout with us. The County was hopping with 2.0 energy overall – Joe Dirt (Downrange from Nashville), Muscle Milk, Duffer, Brick, Super Soaker, Fire Hose, Sonic, and Carsonater. We had 16 total PAX once you add in backflop, honeycomb, honey do, double pump, brown water, Harry Caray, and Captain Crunchberry.
The workout was all about competition. We completed a bunch of races. Sometimes in pairs and sometimes in teams of 5 or 6. The races were:
– coupon carry native American run
– bear crawl chasers (for WAY too long of a route!)
– T-Merkin & Plank Relay
– Lunge walk – pull up relay
– shuffle with coupon punch race
– burpee jump over race
I think my team won every race. Or Double Pump’s team won them all. Or maybe it was Duffer. I can’t remember for sure. We finished up with my new favorite game…GaGa ball. It was a perfect morning.
