BB Furdays @ the O 7.11 Day

Terrific morning with 13 HIMS at Seneca Park (the O). Year 2 of 7/11 day at the O was worth every drop of sweat. Appreciate seeing new faces & hearing about all the leadership changes (that’s what F3 is all about!)

After the Disclaimer and warmup (SSH, grass grabbers, copper head squats, downward dog, tempo merkins & warmup lap), we go to…

THE THANG

Partner work around the seneca park loop (1 1/4 mile)

One PAX would carry two coupons (farmer, shoulder, rifle, etc.)

Partner PAX would complete 7 squats, 11 pushups and then run to catch other PAX and switch.

Rotating fashion around entire park (~25 minutes)

After that the group hit a DORA on the tennis courts

150 Squats
150 Merkins
150 Big Boys
Rifle carry, walking curl & mosey as travel

CoT, same message as last year:

I saw something the other day that said one of the primary reasons for Humans existence as the superior beings on earth is their ability to carry weight over a long period of time. This was shown this morning as we carried coupons over the course of miles, but unfortunately sometimes the weight we carry is internal.

Men have a tendency to struggle alone, and not ask for help. It’s our nature to think we can solve every issue, provide for our family, hold emotions back and be “strong”. However, it’s immensely important to know that we are not alone, and F3 is a tremendous avenue to lean on each other for support.

Not only is it OK to ask for help, its OK to ask ‘are you ok?’… Even the strongest need help. There’s a story many of you have probably seen where an Olympic athlete, passed out under water. Thankfully her coach noticed, dove in fully clothed without hesitation and saved the her life. Even the most highly trained need help at times, and it may not be apparent.

It’s on all of us to be aware of our fellow PAX, reach out, stay connected, and know that everyone can lean on F3 to be a source of light in your life.
