The challenges were set, the rain had past, and Jock Jams was playing when we kicked off the first ever “Vikings Summer Olympics, Partner Competition”, or VSOPC for short. Depends did his best to hype it all, highlighted by some true to life images. It was warm enough even Bunsen made an appearance (didn’t see his shadow either). It was time for the competition to start!
For the next 45 minutes 11 partner teams battled their across 10 challenges. Did everyone have perfect form? Did anyone read the instructions? Did anyone stretch the rules? We will never know.
Here are the results of the 1st ever VSOPC! Let the disputes and whining begin.
Other Medals:
– Team SLT (Viking & SteveO) won the medal for most official recorded attempts at the challenges. Teams were allowed to try each 3 times, once (if) they completed all 10.
- Total Lowest Time Award (lowest time across all 10 events). Team “Viking Sucks” is comprised of… well it doesn’t matter lets call them “dead to me”. Congrats to teams SLT and Meranda&Pouches!
We learned a lot during this first ever Olympic event. I’m happy to report we have been renewed for a 2nd season, so be on the lookout!
