The Workout

The theme today was 7-Eleven. Basically a 7’s routine followed by an 11-minute drill. The original plan called for the 7’s routine followed by an 11’s routine. But 7’s take too long!

Thang 1 – The Big Gulp

Perform 7 reps of each exercise then a mosey around the building. Repeat 7 times. In the end we did 49 reps of each exercise. PAX were taking big gulps of air as they worked thru this burner.

Thang 2 – 11 minute drill

Because the Q can’t count and run at the same time, this 11 minute drill was only a 10 minute drill. Oh well. The last one was twice as hard, so we’ll call it 11.

Sometimes we use a light to shine on a piece of cardboard in the gloom. Without the light we would be fumbling around in the dark, not knowing what to do. When we let God’s light shine on our path, we have clear direction. It drives out the darkness and shows us the way. Jesus is that light, His word is that light. The BIBLE as an acronym stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. He’s given us a manual, a roadmap if you will. And Jesus lights the way on that path. We should be in his word daily. If you aren’t reading the Bible daily, what’s holding you back? Get after it, men!
