f3 dudes

So Mother Nature threw a wrench in my original plans for my Q this week.  I had originally thought about putting together a cute little playlist of “guilty pleasure” songs songs and leading the pax in a serious prancercizing type beat down.  Probably for the better, She decided that was not in our best interest today.  So in typical F3 fashion, I modified.  Here is what I came up with, I think the pax approved.

Conditions: At 0700 it was 17* with approximately 2″ of stiff white stuff on the grass areas.  Blacktop had unfortunately been plowed overnight.  Wind was a factor (we’ll guesstimate 18 mph) as several pax were overheard grumbling about it as they left the heated leather seats of their mini-vans.

Gear: (For Zoo who was MIA) YHC had his new Soloman XA Enduros, single pair of Nike dry-fit socks, Saucony tights, Under Armor tee, Reebok hoodie (obviously I am not brand loyal).  All of this was covered in my Carhartt bib overalls to complete the look of a man who was about to “do some work”.  Digiorno was equipped in Kroger bag gloves.

Mosey over to coupon storage and chisel one out of the ice and snow, circle up in the parking lot.

Block Webs 1:4 (coupon merkin/overhead coupon  press) up to 6:24

The Iditarod-One pax in the sled, two pax on the reigns and sprint 100 yds to other end of the parking lot.  Rotate positions, sprint back.  Did this about 10 times.  Sent Water Boy air-born on the last pass!

Thang 2:

11’s

In a tribute to my good friend Frosty, who joined us over the holidays and guest Q’d, I copied and slightly modified his version of 11’s.  Two exercises with a combined number of 11 reps at opposite sides of the soccer field.  Descending/Ascending.

10 Rock-ees, sprint to the other side of soccer field, 1 Snow Angel.  Sprint back 9-2, and so on.  These sucked as YHC was the six.  Thanks to Old Bay for sticking with me to finish it out!

100/200/300 (Partner)

P1 coupon curls, P2 karaoke to other side of soccer field and back. Switch. Total 100 curls.

P1 coupon squat, P2 Bernie Sanders to other side and back.  Switch. Total 200 squats.

Time was mercifully called.

Name-o-rama.  Wham-O got the six and explained how his family kinda got screwed out of the billions of dollars they are probably due for the Frisbee name.  Dang, cuz I’m sure he would have shared some of that with his F3 brothers.  Intentions were expressed.  I am once again truly thankful for getting a chance to lead this group of men.  No way if you told me six months ago that I’d be leading a workout group in freezing temps and snow that I’d have believed that!
