Last year at this time I was a nervous wreck! I was getting ready for my first Q. I had been HL’d in to making it happen but I felt like I wasn’t ready. I mean, do we ever feel absolutely “ready” to jump outside of our comfort zone and lead a group of men to do completely stupid and utterly pointless stuff? What if I sucked? What if no one showed up? What if my timing was off? Would my workout be challenging enough? Those were just a few of the thoughts swirling around in my head.
A year later and 18 Q’s under my belt, a lot has changed. Although I still get nervous for a Q I got a pretty-good handle on it. On top of that, it’s been a year full of positive changes and self discovery. None of which would’ve been possible with out this group and all it stands for.
As an omage to my first Q, I’ll be doing a rinse and repeat performance of last year’s Derby Day beatdown at The Fog.
Come join me and I’ll SYITG!
