The start of college football season is always an exciting time. I love the anticipation when waking up on Saturday mornings as you wait for the game that day. However, there is a lot of hard work and preparation that goes into getting ready for that day. The boys of Bayside got a taste of training camp on this beautiful Saturday morning.

Thang 1: all about teamwork
Football is a team game. Maybe more than any other sport. You have to rely on your brothers to do their job so the team can reach their goal:
Dora 1-2-3
100 coupon curls
200 chest press
300 air squats
Everyone partnered up and lined up at the goal line. Partner 1 would “super Mario” to 50 yard line and mosey back. Partner 2 would complete the exercise, AMRAP, until partner 1 returned.
Thang 2: gassers
Football takes stamina. When the fourth quarter rolls around you need to have a little extra.
Round 1:
25 coupon curls
100 yard sprint
25 LBCs
100 yard sprint
Round 2:
25 overhead press
100 yard sprint
25 flutter kicks
100 yard sprint
Round 3:
25 arm extensions
100 yard sprint
25 mountain climbers
Thang 3: Gameday
After you put in the work you’ve got to prove it on the field. The pax split up into teams and played a little fast break football to finish out. We used a 60 yard field and the goal was to move the ball to your end zone. You do this by throwing the ball to your teammate. However, once someone catches it they cannot run any longer. Think ultimate frisbee. If the ball is dropped then it’s a turnover and the other team immediately starts moving the ball the other direction.
Once the game was over we did a quick mosey to the flag
