I’m typically pretty on top of sending out my BackBlast, but not this one…intentionally. Since the IronPAXChallenge is a competition it was decided by the PAX who participated in the WO on Tuesday not to post our times. Why? Well, because it gives the PAX who participate in the WO on Friday a competitive advantage. For example, last week I did the WO in 23:53 which I posted in Slack & in the BackBlast. Later in the day I had this exchange with Kilo:

On Friday Kilo participated in the WO & when we spoke I asked what his time was…23:52. As I said, it’s a competitive advantage knowing what time/count you have to do in order to do better than someone else.
Moving on to the WO, I moved the start time to 0515 to give all the PAX an hour to complete the WO & prevent PAX from having to stay past the normal 0615 end. I got to The Posh about 0445 to put up cones around the parking lot to make the 400m loop required for the WO & set out the coupons.
PAX
- Catfish
- Dunphy
- Fergie
- Husky
- Nice & Slow
- Nino (QIC)
- Pork Chop
- Trump
- Viking
I gave the disclaimer to the group encouraging them to push themselves, but more importantly to make sure to listen to their bodies. We walked through the WO design, the app we were using on my iPad to track times, I turned on some music, & gave a “3 count” to go.

Week 2 Results:

The 2018 F3Louisville Spartan (Catfish) put on a show Tuesday morning, but the reason he’s the definition of a HIM isn’t because of his performance in the WO, it was actions afterwards. As each PAX went into their last 400m run he’d go meet them at the half way point & run the last portion with them pushing each of us to finish strong.

Was this WO hard? It was BRUTAL, but like everything is started & it ended.
Nino out.
