Thang: Speed Work
The FD parking lot is neatly divided into thirds by sidewalks. We would use those as distance markers for some speed work. When we got to the end of the lot, everyone did a 50% speed mosey back to the starting line. It was their responsibility to avoid collisions.

We attacked the parking lot width wise for a modified Elevens routine.
Everyone lined up in a lane where they had a parking curb on both sides.
We ran elevens, with side hops over the parking curb on one side, and riverdance on the other side. Right and Left touches count as ‘one’. We did a count at each end of the run.

Announcements- Fall Festival (hosted by Le Pew) on Oct. 19. Fall Convergence is next month, details TBD.
Message- Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Moses is certainly what you would call a ‘famous’ Bible character. There is a lot to learn about him (did you know he straight up murdered a dude, but God still used him to lead the people Israelite people out of Egyptian slavery? Yup, it’s in there.) and his redemption in Christ. But that’s not what I want to share. Moses is a guy you expect to lead courageously. But when he dies, he passes the baton of leadership to a guy named Joshua.
Joshua was under the shadow of a legend. But, he didn’t use any of this as an excuse. He wasn’t intimidated, he didn’t whine that he wasn’t ready, and he didn’t back down. God blessed him and his efforts. His people pledged allegiance to him and God, and things went well. He finished the job that Moses started and actually led the people into the promised land. But God still had to remind him to be strong and courageous.
There’s some area in your life where you’ve been handed the baton. Maybe it’s because someone sidestepped it. Maybe someone dropped it. Or maybe you legitimately earned it. Regardless, it’s time to lead! Focus on what matters. Be courageous, don’t be afraid, for the Lord goes with you.
Intentions- No spoken intentions.
We closed in prayer, thanking God for the blessings he pours out on us and asking for guidance and the courage to lead.
NakedMan Moleskin: YHC spent all workout yesterday chasing Dauber at Iron PAX challenge. Today was the same. He’s been a good addition to the County PAX group. Specifically this week, he’s pushed me. Thanks dude, I hope the push is reciprocated.
Until next meal,
Crock Pot
