We began at 0700 with Nuclear Side straddle hops where I messed up the count. I asked that the PAX do hem in cadence, when I should have called single count. Regardless, like true HIMs we pushed through to 82.
We then Mozied over to grab coupons, and lined up for the pain.
The Thang: Billy Madison Ladder – and it was rough.
The Billy Madison ladder is based on the Adam Sandler’s movie Billy Madison from the 90’s. If you have never seen it, watch it; it is good for the soul.
Every “grade” consists of an exercise and requires 12 reps to graduate. Also, each grade requires 12 reps of each previous grade before you can move on. Between grades, a 200 yard run.
- 1st Grade: 12 Merkins, 200 yard run
- 2nd Grade: 12 Merkins, 12 Big Boys, 200 yard run
- 3rd Grade: 12 Merkins, 12 Big Boys, 12 Coupon Squats, 200 yard run.
- Continue until you graduate 12th grade…
We had several make it through graduation with the Manmakers closing our 12th grade, but even those that didn’t pushed hard and deserved the Snack Pack desert upon completion.
