COP
I had only posted at The Garden once previously and so coming into my Q, I wasn’t very familiar with the grounds. But, thanks to Nino, Nice and Slow, and Google Earth, I knew there was a nice selection of hills, including one that went up to the school and then back down to the lower parking lot, which was perfect for a progressive COP, so that’s what we did. We left the shovel flag and started up the hill and ultimately made our way back down to the bottom of the hill on the other side of the school where the coupons reside, and did the following along the way:
– 15 SSHs in 4 Count Cadence
– 10 Imperial Squat Walkers in 4 Count Cadence
– 10 Merkins in 4 Count Cadence
– 15 SSHs in 4 Count Cadence

– 10 Merkins in 4 Count Cadence
Thang 1
Each Pax grabbed a coupon and dropped them off at the bottom of the grass hill between the lower and upper levels of the property so that they would be there for Thang 2. We then moseyed to the lower parking lot to do something I first learned from Catfish (who was in attendance) at one of our prior convergences. It was a Jack Webb (1:4 ratio) of burpees and bear crawls to the melody of Wham!’s greatest hits. We started with 1 burpee and 4 bear crawls (each hand reach counts as 1) and then continued increasing the reps by 1 for the burpees and by 4 for the bear crawls, with the goal of reaching 10 burpees and 40 bear crawls. We did this for approximately 8 minutes and then it was time for Thang 2.
Thang 2
For this Thang, we gathered at the bottom of the grass hill and divided into two teams of 5 (Methane slightly injured himself early into the WO and was modifying at this point) for a friendly competition. Each team would send 1 Pax to run to the top of the hill where he would do 5 man makers (there was a coupon waiting at the top of the hill) and then run back down at which time the next Pax on the team would do the same thing. While this was happening, the other 4 Pax on the team were doing sets of 10 coupon curls, coupon squats and coupon rows on repeat until it was their time to run up the hill.
We did 3 rounds of this and the team that finished last (my team) had to do 5 extra man makers at the end. We now had about 10 minutes left, so it was on to Thang 3.
Thang 3
We took the coupons back to their resting place and then moseyed to the back parking lot and partnered up for Thang 3. For the first part of this, Partner 1 crab walked across the parking lot to the curb on the other side, did 10 incline merkins on the curb and then lunge walked back to their partner who was doing AMRAP big boys. For the second part of this, we changed the transportation mode to bear crawls and broad jumps, changed incline merkins to decline merkins, and changed the AMRAP core work from big boys to rosalitas. We did 3 rounds of each and then called time as it was 0615.
COT
We closed out with our numbers, names, announcements, prayer to the Sky Q, and a quick thank you to the Pax for motivating me to get out in the gloom even when I’m not feeling my best. The days that start with F3 are always my best days. Hope you feel the same.
Until next time…
