The Pax were a small but mighty bunch of lads, including Jimmy Neutron, Nice and Slow, Nino, Jewel, and Pope (Q).
The weather was swampy, with a temperature in the low 70’s and high humidity.
Thang 1 – I gave the disclaimer and off we moseyed around the school for a warm up lap. We had hands on our heads for an added degree of difficulty.
Thang 2 – We did 30 seconds of each of the following exercises: Run in place, Merkins, Crunches with heels in the air, Squats, Mountain Climbers, and Linebackers (yes – I just made that up). A Linebacker is like a burpee with a merkin, but stops the upward motion in the squatted position with the arms extended. We rested for 30 seconds after completing the 6 exercises. We completed 7 sets and then…
Thang 3 – The finisher was a Jack Webb burpee bear crawl up the hill. I recall when Catfish brought this one to the O – it never disappoints. We completed the entire set as a team, and circled up for intentions and closing remarks.
It was great spending some time at the Garden and catching up with the guys there.
