Hats off to F3Greenwood & the IPC Crew for this WO…it was a beast. Last Sunday when the week 2 WO dropped I watched the 23 minute video & a couple things came to mind:
- this WO is going to suck (in a good way)
- creating a “wheel” overcomplicates this thing…especially if you have 10+ PAX participating
Nonetheless, we were going to take this thing on at The Garden & I had a little more time than usual to plan/prepare for the WO because we pushed it to Thursday instead of Tuesday due to the long weekend.

I was glad to see everyone arrive by 0520 because that’s when I began walking through the details of the WO…what the 400m loop was, what the exercises were, how we’d track our reps, etc. so that 0530 we could start. Actually we didn’t start until 0532 because Natty Lite got all the way to his starting point, broke his coupon, & had to run all the way back to my car to grab the spare. Here’s how I set up the WO to accommodate the site layout (which doesn’t have a clear area of 50 yards wide) & the large number of PAX participating.

Rather than make a “wheel” I designated 8 lanes along one of the long stretches of the 400m loop. Each lane had 2-3 PAX designated to that specific lane for the duration of the WO because the lane served as the start/end of the 400m loop & the 25 yard out/back for those 2-3 PAX. Each lane had one of these & a correlating light directly 25 yards away.

I also put 2-3 pieces of chalk in the lane so the PAX could tally their Rounds/Reps because collectively math is not a strength of this group. Throughout the WO I’d give an update on how much time was left until I called the WO at 0615, right at 43 minutes. Here are the results:
- Catfish – 751 reps
- Husky – 670 reps
- Uncle Rico – 660 reps
- Nice & Slow – 615 reps
- Worm – 590 reps
- Jewel – 565 reps
- Nino – 520 reps
- Meter Maid – 509 reps
- Gypsy – 508 reps
- Domino’s – 504 reps
- Fructose – 499 reps
- Jimmy Neutron – 496 reps
- Natty Lite – 490 reps
- Milton – 489 reps
- Dunphy – 455 reps
- Subprime – 450 reps
- Cropduster – 445 reps
- Wide Right – 445 reps
- Mr. Roper – 420 reps
- Diane Dukes – 395 reps
- Latex – 370 reps
- Mr. Clean – 290 reps
Despite the IPC WOs being 100% you vs you for your best individual time/score it’s awesome to see guys push & encourage one another. Until next week.
