For what ever their reasons, 22 HIM’s posted this morning @ The O. For my own purposes, I’ll assume it was in support of VQ. To all those who chose The O this morning, regardless of your reasons, thank you, I was completely blown away by the experience. It was humbling and an honor to lead such a fine group.
PAX: Jitterbug (R), Fergie, Violet, Flo Jo, No Nuts, Yoshi, Shyster, Motorboat, Gringo, Viking, Speedbump, Handbook, Klopek, Blueprint, Swatch (FNG), Yes Ma’am, Tron, Palmolive, Number2 (R), Silver Dollar, Russdiculous, Harry Caray (Q).
Made a quick disclaimer, count-a-rama, and moseyed to the torch-lit field that lies within the loop @ The O.
COP: SSH, Grass Grabbers, Abe Vagodas, Toy Soldiers & Downward Dog.
Thang 1: Bermuda Triangle: 3 cones, 30 yards apart.
- Cone 1 – 1 burpee, bear crawl to cone 2.
- Cone 2 – 2 burpees, bear crawl to cone 3.
- Cone 3 – 3 burpees, bear crawl back to cone 1.
PAX made 3 trips around the triangle. Mumble chatter was low, bear crawls and burpees seem to have that effect.
Thang 2: Bill Murray: PAX lined across one side of the field.
- Squats X 10
- Merkins X 10
- BBSU X 10
- Burpees X 10
- Run to other end of the field an back.
PAX repeated this 4 times.
Thang 3: Bataan Death March – burpee Indian run
The last person in line drops and does 3 burpees, while the rest of the PAX mosey in a line. We used the perimeter of the field as our track. With 22 PAX members, this was by far the largest Indian run I’ve participated in, and judging by the mumble chatter, I wasn’t the only one. In true suck embracing style, and several laps around the course, all PAX had completed their mission.

I can’t remember, nor do I want to remember what my life was like before the gloom. We ended with the Pledge of Allegiance.
