We all know that when we mention The “M” we are speaking of our wives. But do you know why the consonant M is used? Quite simply, the M stands for the Most important relationship, that of your wife/significant other. In most cases, our wives run our households. If yours is like mine, they take care of all the scheduling activities with the kids, help to run them all over town, grocery shop, put dinner on the table and of course, put up with us.
We have found such a wonderful gift in F3 and our wives witness us making time to hang out with other men that make us better. Sometimes it’s just an early morning post. Other times it may be Friday night monthly rucks, black ops on Sunday, races and/challenges we sign up for, letting us buy toys and gearlander to support our cause. And again, if your wife is like mine, she knows the names of PAX I talk about and follows along as I tell tales of the gloom.
This challenge is for them.
The meat and potatoes: February is the month of love and if you care to play along, schedule a date night with your M. However you do it is up to you but I would recommend keeping it a surprise. Make it a date night or a date day. Take care of the planning and details including childcare (if that pertains to your situation). Allow her to be reminded of the spontaneity you are capable of and why it is she married you.
The BackBlast: Many of you may know that I am a fan. Think of it as a love letter. Share with her what you did to plan, what your perception was of how the date went, and ultimately a love letter of sorts, letting your M know what she means to you.
In summary, this is not a challenge meant to win gold (unless of course “gold” means what happens in the hours….or minutes….after the date). It’s not a challenge for us to “one up” each other by sharing who planned the best date. This is for the women that we love and letting them know how special they are to us.
