Warm up – Side straddle hops, abe vigoda’s, downward dog, merkins.
The thang:
Break into groups – 8 stations or “fun zones”. 3 Minutes at each station, which were:
Soccer/Volleyball
Velcro Catch
Frisbee
Bucket Ball (like bozo!)
Air Rockets
Hop Scotch
Cornhole
Chalk!
Insert water balloon fight! Kids in the middle and Pax in a circle around them – these kids were not holding back – ZERO mercy. Over 250 balloons were sent flying into Pax chests. Great way to cool off in this summer heat. Once the balloons were depleted it was time for popsicles, gatorade, water, and… other beverages.
After Pax helped me clean up (THANK YOU!) – We moseyed over to the splash pad. Coup de grâce. Kids played in the water and wore themselves out while Pax enjoyed fellowship.
It’s times like these that make life that much sweeter. I hope everyone had a great time.
