Our lives are full of choices & today for the PAX who made the choice to post at the Incubator, I planned to make 1,000 choices for them today.

PAX:

  1. Bob Ross
  2. Ladybird
  3. Mr. Kotter
  4. Nice & Slow
  5. Nino (QIC)

I gave the disclaimer informing the PAX I am not a professional who has received no training. Everything I say to do is a suggestion & encouraged them to modify as needed. With that, we were on a mosey over to the Egg Lawn…

COP

  • None…because we didn’t have time.

THE THANG

Originally I planned on partnering up PAX members, but with only 5 in attendance I called an audible & decided to keep the group together. The Egg Lawn is 0.70 of a mile around so I got there early & placed (5) markers 0.14 of a mile apart. We were going around the Egg Lawn two times stopping at each marker to perform a specified number of repetitions of a certain exercise as shown:

Lap 1:

Marker 1: 100 Merkins

Marker 2: 100 Squats

Marker 3:  100 Big Boys

Marker 4: 100 Shoulder Taps (4 count cadence)

Marker 5: 100 Side Straddle Hops (4 count cadence)

Lap 2:

Marker 1: 100 Incline Merkins

Marker 2: 100 Lunges (4 count cadence)

Marker 3: 100 Flutter Kicks (4 count cadence)

Marker 4: 100 Carolina Dry Docks

Marker 5: 100 Mountain Climbers (4 count cadence)

For the exercises with the 4 count cadence we rotated amongst the PAX with each member leading the cadence to 20 & then switching to the next member. Unfortunately, due to time constraints we weren’t able to get all the way through all the repetitions of all the exercises for both laps having to stop half through Marker 4 of Lap 2 & take it back to the flag.

COT

  • COR
  • NOR
  • Announcements
    • The 1st ever F3Louisville AO Olympics will be held on 5.18.19 with more details to come.
  • Intentions
    • TAPs for all those killed, injured, or impacted in the Sri Lanka attacks.
    • TAPs for Nice & Slow’s cousin’s wife who is battling cancer.

As I closed things out I shared with the PAX as a follow up to the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Patrick’s I was reading about choices. Now, I’m not sure where/how it was determined, but from what I found, we apparently make 35,000 conscious choices per day. I challenged each PAX in attendance to make the effort today to make 1-2 choices they may not normally make that they anticipate having a positive effect…preferably on others.

As always it’s a privilege to lead the men of this PAX.

Nino out.
