My favorite day of the year. This was the 4th annual Backyard BBQ event. I would estimate that we had roughly 100~ people in and out throughout the day.
Kudos and credit to the guys who prepared amazing food for the guests.
HBK made smoked hot dog burnt ends. Beans made chicken quesadillas. Boy RD made stuffed mushrooms. Brisket made pork and venison ribs. Tall Tale made venison backstrap, fresh garden tomato’s and brought Homebrew. Shaggy brought Cider. Viking supplied kegs for charity. Flex Seal smoked Nutty Professor’s farm raised chickens. Sump Pump made filet mignon sliders. Mr Krabs made smoked Rueben sliders. Crowdstrike smoked chicken thighs. Ruben smoked pork butt. Twister smoked bologna chub. DList made a brocoli-pasta salad. Ratatouille made deviled eggs.
Ratatouille joined myself and Natty Lite in a 3-way blind brisket competition where everyone tried all three and voted for their favorite. Natty Lite came out victorious in the voting but the real winners was the entire party for getting to try three fantastic briskets. Natty took home the steak pillow and a pair of wagyu ribeyes. 🥇
It was incredibly hot so I called in early favors from Stablers to help me setup a bunch of tents for shade. We had a water slide for the kids and installed some new fans to keep the air moving.
In the front yard and side yard, we had games of kan Jam, cornhole and beersby going. I only lost one game of beersby all day. Some of you guys need to practice.
Long story short, 2ndF Fellowship was on full display on day. Our M’s and 2.0’s had a great time. I took home the coveted Freed to Lead patch from Brisket.
On the 3rdF Faith front, through all of the generous donations, after we paid for the meat and water slide, we raised $590 for Safe Passage.
Until next year, Steve-O out!
