Conditions were perfect for the 11 pax who made it out for Tidwell’s return to the gloom and celebrate his 18th birthday. Two of the pax – Dauber and Backflop ran a 5k in advance to attend.
The pax included Huey (working a 60 pd sandbag), Tebow [R] (sporting a working van today), Dauber (had strong neon today that would have made Kilo proud), Pelican (located a speaker for the workout), Backflop (had to raise Tebow’s blast during the workout at the playground), PewPew [R] (an OG who has recently returned to the gloom), Cratchit (had to drive Tidwell back home following his Q; he locked his keys in his truck), Jerry Maguire [R] (attended his first Indy 500 and was close by the wreck that went into the crowd; during every curse word he took a 10 second pause), Snowden (closest pax to the County), Meter Maid (still trying to figure out why the pax can’t do one legged flutter kicks yet), and Tidwell [Q] (18th birthday, didn’t realize we lost the main pull-up bars during the playground renovation and had an awesome workout on the fly). He had provided us the Heat lock but couldn’t convince his sister to provide funds needed for the payoff.
Tidwell started it and we started with a mosey. The pax could hear moans of Jerry Maguire given the fact he doesn’t like to mosey. I mean it is a heavy, well maybe not based on its recent track record. It’s more heavy style. We did a half circle around the County.
He moved us to the playground and found some spots for pulls up, merkins and squats. In the second portion under the portico, the pax got their coupons behind the Eagle’s Nest. Quietly, Dauber cheered for the use of onsite coupons. Partner 1 did an exercise while Partner 2 traveled with their coupon on a short loop around the school. Lots of dips and decline merkins were performed.
With 15 minutes remaining, Tidwell had each pax call out an exercise. Meter Maid called out single legged flutter kicks. Pax must have their legs connected or not know which leg is left or right. Cratchit and Meter Maid were precariously placed between Tebow and Backflop who kept raising with the nuclear warfare. Toward the end, Dauber called out Toy Soldiers. Tidwell practiced those before his return and crushed it. Well done, Tidwell!
The coupons were returned and pax went back to the flag. We did a few stretches to close it out and the runners joined up.
The runners and Foundry pax circled around the flag. The count failed at 2 with two pax calling out two and had to be restarted.
For announcements, ruck ops tonight at the County at 7pm and 2nd F to follow. The June ruck, a star ruck, is 6/24 from 4-7pm and will be led by McAfee.
We lifted up intentions and Tebow led us out in prayer. Great way to start the day unless you lock your keys in your truck. Don’t worry Cratchit took Tidwell home to get another key.
