Thanks to all the 53 pax from all over the region who participated. The 2025 County Fair was quite an experience and is what makes F3 Louisville special. Each year brings a different spin with prior years highlighting games like dodge ball and gaga ball.
Special props to Backflop who planned a good majority of the workout this year. Dauber looked to be a professional when it came to leading the egg toss game. Looking back perhaps we needed to include the potential risk of splattered eggs in the disclaimer. There were strong numbers for the prerun (12) preruck (9).
The 2025 theme focused on eggs and firework. Eggs was because Easter weekend and fireworks was because Thunder over Louisville is usually two weeks before Derby. We had our patented turkey patch printed and later realized that Thunder was actually three weeks before given the Easter weekend. It ended up working out as Thunder was unfortunately cancelled given the local flooding. Dauber’s fired off random spinning fireworks during COP and the main thang.
I’ll admit I was attitude worried during our initial count off if we would have enough patches for all the pax. Good thing we orders a lot of patches.
After COP, we broke into four teams. Each team would loop around the school get one egg, ran back to the starting spot and triple the exercise count and divide across the pax. It ended up with around 25 reps per exercise. After about 30 minutes of that we moved to the Easter Egg scavenger hunt.
There would be clues that each of the same teams would need to solve to locate the next clue. At the end there was a golden Easter egg and a solid gold bunny. With as many pax as we had, everyone stayed together. One cheater or maximizer *BrownTail* located the golden Easter egg so it was moved to the gaga ball pit.
The final game was the egg toss led by Dauber. He broke the teams up randomly and pax got further and further away until the last two teams were standing and were awarded Cadbury eggs as champions.
During this event, Yankovich had to get to his book signing and his keys were locked in his vehicle. Showboat, a real HIM, drove him and returned later. This would not be the only other locked car. Little Jerry had an issue and Craiglist helped him get into his car. New motto might be “leave no pax behind even if locked out.”
Pelican did a great job securing sponsorship (see pictures below)!
Until next year!
