Pax(9): Kilo, Nugget, Back Draft, Meatball, Peek-a-boo, Geppetto, PK, Snow Day, Cutlass
Late, quick, and a little dirty this week. 9 HIM’s joined me on a brisk Monday morning to get through a marathon of running, lunging, burpee’ing, and various other fun things.
Once Kilo was ready to go, the PAX mosed over to the nice walkout pavilion to warm up. SSWs, Imperial Walkers, Abe Vigodas, Grass Grabbers.
Mosed through the beautiful forest and huddled up for Thang1 in the big parking lot.
In addition to the elevation changes at VMP, it also features a large parking lot that is perfect for a variety of different workouts. For a visual, it is essentially a huge square which I broke out into 8 stations along the perimeter.
As a group, all PAX lunged walked 50 yards and then circled the lot (running) stopping at the station before the one we started at. We then did 10 burpees followed by 100 squats. We then lunge walked one station forward (to where we started) and then circled the lot again stopping one station before the squat station (this is impossible to explain without a diagram which I don’t have time to create)
In essence, we did a ton of lunge walking, Burpees, Squats, Merkins, LBC’s, and Supermans.
Mosed back through the park past the “Do Not Enter, Park Closed” signs through the dirt to the Abyss Merkins Pavilion. The PAX paired up. While partner 1 did 5 abyss Merkins and 10 dips, partner 2 did Al Gore. PAX switched and after round 1, Partner 1 did 10 Abyss Merkins and 20 dips. Then switched. For round 3, we did 20 Abyss Merkins and 40 dips. All while the other partner was Al Goring. #GetBetter
