BB – 2/27 The Tank

I love the VET. Love the site. Love the PAX. Absolutely love all the jokes and ball-busting.  There’s no other site like it in town. Unfortunately, the distance from southern Indiana causes some issues with getting home and to work on time, so I don’t get out there as much as I’d like. Luckily, I was able to find the time this week to go out there and Kilo and the crew were gracious enough to let me Q.

PAX: Aerobie, Drysdale, Worm, Carlos’e, Tony Malito, McAfee, Kilo, Newman, Grinder (Q)

We started with five burpees, a couple laps around the Memorial circle, then went into COP: Fast SSHs, Slow Grass Grabbers, Hillbillies, Downward Dog, then  runner’s and hip stretch.

Next, we took a short Scout Run from the Memorial to the large parking lot by the baseball field. The Scout ran forward for ten seconds, did two burpees, then fell to the back of the line.

Once at the lot, the PAX saw that I had set up six cones around the lot. At each cone, there were instructions on what exercises to do, then what method of travel to use to get to the next cone. We split up into two groups and off we went for the next thirty minutes completing this circuit a total of three times:

20 Merkins, then AYG Run to next cone

15 Copperhead Squats, then Bear Crawl to next cone

15 Bobby Hurley’s, then Lunge Walk to next cone

20 LBCs, then Bernie Sanders to next cone

20 Mountains climbers, then Mario to next cone

20 Fast SSHs, then Broad-Jump Burpee to final cone

I really enjoyed hanging with Worm, Carlos’e and Tony Malito in my group, and talking trash to Kilo and McAfee from across the lot. The jokes were stellar. I won’t share any because you should have been there. One thing you should be happy you missed, however, was the epic crop-dusting that occurred in my group. Absolutely toxic and a bit surprising how long it lingered given the wind that morning. Oh well, it wasn’t enough to keep me from wanting to head back out to the VET very soon. Thanks again, fellas!
