Always a treat to hang with the County boys. The weather was great this morning (32 and clear) and there were 8 HIMs in attendance: Jerry McGuire (R), Sweater Vest, Scratch-N-Dent, Ashley, Bulletin (R), Abacus, Valdez, Grinder (Q).

We started with a Scout Run around the school. Everyone got two turns at being the Scout and did a burpee at the end of each sprint before rejoining the line. Once back at the main lot, we circled up for a longer than usual COP. Selfishly, I forced the PAX to do lots of stretching. I’d been on the sideline for the past week with a cold and it took a bit longer to get loose than expected.

Once we were sufficiently loose, we started Thang One, which was a little DORA. Partner one crawl bears to the cone (roughly 7 parking spaces away), does five jump squats, then bear crawls back. All the while, partner two is working on 50 burpees, 100 merkins and 150 air squats. After completing that, we moved to Thang two. Basically the same thing – Partner two working on 50 burpees, 100 merkins and 150 air squats, but this time, Partner one Bernie Sanders the length of the parking lot then AYG run back.

We finished both sets much faster than expected, so we did an extended set of Mary – multiple sets of V-ups in between sets of LBCs, Flutter Kicks, Pretzel Crunches and One-legged Flutters. We still had time to spare, so we did a mini merkin time bomb, then called it quits with a minute left on the clock.

In COT, we talked about Abacus’ upcoming birthday CSAUP at North Posh March 23 (6:30am-9:30am…BE THERE!) and wished good luck to Ashley on his new gig. I honestly was so smoked after a week off that I have no recollection of what I said after that, but I hope it was uplifting or, at very least, positive.

Mornings like this make me so glad the DD Challenge motivated me to get out and lead at other AOs and I really look forward to getting back out to the County again soon.
