Back Blast 5.9 Temple of Gloom @ The O

PAX (13): Bag Boy, Butcher, Captain Insane-o, Diablo, Fergie, Flo Jo, Oboe Pixar, Pork Chop, Scuba Steve Tammy Faye Baker, Tron, Violet (Q)

Conditions: Muggy, 68 degrees, No Wind, No Rain

Warm Up: Mosey around exterior of tennis courts on the running path

  • 20 x Imperial Walkers (IC)
  • 10 x Abe Vigoda (IC)
  • 20 x Mountain Climber (IC)
  • 20 x Grass Grabbers (IC)
  • Body Rotations (5 reps each direction of neck rotations, arm rotations, hip rotations, knee and ankle rotations)
  • 20 x Mountain Climber (IC)
  • 30 seconds – stretch on your own
  • Mosey around interior of tennis courts

A-Olympic Preview

Event 1:  One Mile Run for time

  • PAX began at the Flag and ran one mile on the Seneca Park Running Path, ending back at the flag. Multiple PAX set personal best times with the fastest time right under 6 minutes.

Event 2: Push Up and Sit-Up Events (max reps in 1 minute)

  • Mosey from flag to CAL parking lot
  • PAX organized into teams of 2
  • Teammate 1 completed 1 minute of Push-ups. Goal was maximum repetitions. PAX could stop and hold plank but could not go to a knee during the event.
  • Repeat with Teammate 2 completing Push-ups
  • Teammate 1 completed 1 minute of Sit Ups. Goal was maximum repetitions. PAX had to keep fingers interlocked behind head and could only stop in the up position.  Teammate 2 held feet.
  • Rinse and Repeat for Teammate 2

Event 3: 100 Meter Sprint

  • Conducted 4 heats of 100 meter sprints in the CAL parking Lot

Event 4: Box Jumps

  • Mosey from CAL Parking Lot to rest room area
  • Teammate 1 completed 1 minute of Box Jumps. Goal was maximum repetitions.  Teammate 2 completed flutter kicks.
  • Rinse and repeat with Teammate 2 completing box jumps and Teammate 1 completing flutter kicks.

Event 5: 400 meter run

  • Mosey from rest room area to flag
  • PAX began at flag and ran around tennis courts on the Seneca Park Running Path and returned the flag.
  • Strong times posted by all PAX.
