8.22.19 The Agony @ The County Back Blast

School’s been back in session for just over a week and already The GOAT has managed to come home and give me a case of the Bird flu. On 8/21, as I was day three into feeling the full effects of my now seasonal cold, WILDflower reaches out to me at 1615 and asks, “how you feelin today bro?” In so many words I told him I felt like shit. He responds with another question…”still Q’n in the morning?” F@#k! Let me check the calendar. Now, vocally out loud…”Fuuu@k!!! The next 15 minutes would consist of a lot of mauling over and talking out loud. The end result? I’m going cowboy up and knuckle down. Is it pain or sickness that is weakness leaving the body? Either/Or I’m going to make it happen.

Fast forward to 0330 when I am awakened by some fierce storms and scared kids. Great!! The Sky Q and Mother Nature are putting my mental fortitude to the test. At 0500 the storms are still rolling out and the rain is persisting. Would anyone show at this point? It doesn’t matter. Even if there is only one other PAX member, I can’t let them down. And face it, after the physically and mentally challenging day I had the day prior, I needed a workout. As I rolled up I see two other fine HIM waiting in the lot ready to work.
