Disclaimer/FNG

YHC is not a professional, nor has he received any certification or training. Everything Q says is merely a suggestion. You as a PAX are here voluntarily on your own free will. This will likely be a high intensity exercise, so if you have any medical condition or physical limitation, you should consider not participating. You are encouraged to modify everything as necessary according to your ability, disability, injury, fitness level, etc.

Warm Up:

SSH (IC) x 15

Imperial Walkers (IC) x 10

Michael Phelps (10 count)

Kendra Newman (10 count forward, 10 count reverse)

Toy Soldier (IC) x 10

Slooooow Grass Grabbers (IC) x 10

Stay down, hold left ankle (10 count)

Stay down, hold right ankle (10 count)

SSH @ 1.5x Speed (IC) x 15

We hit a quick mosey to the coupon cache and packed them to the front parking lot.

Thang:

We did a super set of exercises, as many rounds as possible. At the end of each super set, PAX would go trick-or-treat. They would run the length of the front parking lot and roll the dice. If the die came up a 1, 2, or 3, you got a ‘trick’ and had to do the prescribed exercise before returning to the super set. If you rolled a 4, 5, or 6, you got the ‘treat’ of going back to do another round of the super set.

Treats:

5 Burpees (SC)

10 Wide Merkins (SC)

15 Squats (SC)

20 Plank Jacks (SC)

Tricks:

1 – 20 man makers (blockees)

2 – 15 coupon swimmer’s press (curl + overhead press)

3 – 10 coupon thrusters

The most rounds completed won some candy.

COT:

CoR/NoR

Announcements- Uncle Rico is gathering white crew socks for a homeless mission in town. Please send socks to your site Q or directly to him. The number of packs determine the number of merkins/burpees they do in celebration.

Message- James, one of Jesus’ brothers, writes in James 1:2-4 and says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

My guess is you weren’t considering it pure joy when you were tired and drew a face card this morning. But this is exactly how life is going to happen. You may face trials early. You may face them repeatedly. You may be faced with the hardest trials when you’re the most tired. They may be physical trials, mental trials, relational trials, spiritual trials, or some combination. Just know that when you bite down on the mouth piece and fight through them, they build your perseverance. Let that perseverance build you into the man you need to be become. The ultimate goal is becoming a man that is mature and complete.

Intentions- Bulletin and his sister Karen as he donates one of his kidneys to her. Operation is next Thursday 7-Nov.

NakedMan Moleskin: The weather was lousy, which fit perfectly with the message laid out for the PAX. There is a guarantee that trials will come up. Today it was the weather, and the ‘luck’ of the dice. Tomorrow it will be something different. Just know that no matter what gets thrown in your way, it helps to build your perseverance. The perseverance builds your character. Consider it joy… even though it might suck at the time.

Until next meal,

Crock Pot
