When trying to prepare my wenkie for this workout it dawned on me that today was 12 days before Christmas. Boom! I had my theme for the workout. Now I just had to come up with 12 exercises (without the use of coupons) to sufficiently challenge the PAX. So here’s how it went down.
PAX(9): Meatball, PK, Yoshi, Tony Malito, Aerobie, Zipline, Snowman, Sweet Tart, Plumb Bob (Q)
Weather: Upper 30s with a slight breeze, just enough to make those beautiful stars and stripes blow in the wind
COP: 50 SSH(IC), 12 Grass Grabbers, Downward Dog with calf and hip stretches, Cobra, Cross Over Arm Stretches, Michael Phelps, 50 SSH (IC)
THE 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
- Lap around the memorial with 12 SSH after each lap
- Burpees
- Lunges (Right-Left=1)
- Freddie Mercury (Right-Left=1)
- Merkins
- V-ups
- Dips
- American Hammers (Right-Left=1)
- Plank Jacks
- Jump Squats
- Big Boy Sit-ups
- Derkins
There was some good mumblechatter with topics ranging from Bill Murray, what movie we saw our “first pair”, Snowman’s Napoleon Dynamite Story, (you haven’t heard it, ask him about it), and Sweet Tart’s killer ‘stache.
It was brought to my attention that we had done 200 SSH in COP plus a total of 144 during the 12 Days of Christmas for a total 344. If you read the pre-blast you’d know there are 364 total gifts given. So we closed out with 20 more SSH for 364 total.
Thanks to Tony Malito for the invite to Q at Vet and I’m looking forward to when he returns the favor like a true HIM at the Mutt in January.
