I had a weinke in mind for today but when I went to write in down on the Bulletin Board, I noticed the workout I Q’d two weeks ago at the Tank was still on the board. It sounded good, so I just left it on the board. I rolled into the station with a minute to spare even though I left in plenty of time. Hwy 22 was pretty slick east of Crestwood, so I was a little worried about attendance. Right at 5:30 we had 5 PAX.
PAX: Abacus, Brown Water, Captain Crunchberry, Fungi, and Bulletin Q.
Disclaimer said and I didn’t waste any time getting started with an new idea to begin, similar to a Slaughter start but a little tougher. 5 Burpees, 10 Merkins, 20 SSH (single count) rinse and repeat for 5 minutes. Given the location for the first time I tried this, I have decided to call it the INFERNO start, It heats you up fast.
Moseyed to collect some coupons and we setup in the front of the Fire stations parking lot with Bulletin Board.
- 10 Burpees, 20 Bobby Hurleys – Sprint to the top of the parking lot, mosey back
- 20 Merkins, 20 Curls – Mosey around the block
- 20 Squats, 20 Overhead presses – Sprint
- 20 1-Arm Rows, Right then Left – Mosey
- 20 LBC’s, 20 Flutter Kicks – Sprint
- 20 Tricep Extension, 20 Front Raises – Mosey
- Rinse and Repeat.
Everybody killed it, we replaced the coupons and back to the flag for 1 minute of Big Boys.
COR, NOR, Announcements and intentions. Closed with an Our Father.
Tough workout but always a pleasure to lead and I’m very impressed with the effort these HIMs put into the start of their day.
