12 brave PAX (plus 1 brave dog) started their week off right on the North side of Posh @ the Silo. Conditions were glorious, full moon coming thru the clouds with temps somewhere in the upper 50’s.
PAX- Holy Roller (R), Fertile Myrtle, Dunphy, Huggies, Ice Man (R) w/ his awesome dog, Focker, Colonel Klink, Catfish, Viking, Brown Water, Gypsie, Milton (Q). Quick disclaimer, then COP:
SSH- 25, Grass Grabbers-15, Downward Dog Stretch, Stay in plank position, Merkin (single ct-25), Copperhead Squats-25. Moseyed down the back path to the small parking lot next to the Lake of Fire.
Thang 1- DORA, Partner up, partner 1 runs trail around lake of fire while partner 2 begins exercises (100 Merkins, 200 LBCs, 300 squats, 40 burpees). Mumble chatter was low but everyone was able to get a handful of laps in and a couple got to do some extra credit (you know who you are).
Thang 2- Nothing special here, but moseyed back up the hill to the silo and down the hill to the bottom by Shelbyville Rd. Had PAX drop for 10 Burpees, sprint up to top of hill, 10 burpees, back to bottom of hill, 5 burpees, and sprint to top of hill, 5 burpees. Finished with 1 minute left for Mary- 35 IC Flutter Kicks.
Circled up for count-o-rama, name-o-rama, announcements (upcoming Ruck), intentions, spoken (especially for Rocky) and unspoken. My thought for the day was sometimes I find myself asking myself “why” as in why we get up for this, and reminded myself and PAX that its simple; because “we can” and we should feel fortunate and privileged to have the air in our lungs to be together and become all around better HIMS within this amazing group and community. Til next time….
