Escalator Backblast 10.7.2020

Six HIMs made it out to the best lit AO in F3 Louisville thanks to the moon: Uncle Sam (R), F-Stop, Harbaugh, Skirmish (R), Flip Flop, & Mr. Hat (Q).

Disclaimer, mosey down to the boat dock. COP: 50 SSHs IC, 10 IWs, 10 GGs, 10 Toy Soldiers, and some other stretching. Run back to the bball court.

The main thang was The Hightower, a routine inspired by and named after our fallen F3 brother in the line of duty. A police officer in Myrtle Beach, Hightower was killed recently, and this routine is named after him.

The routine is also based on Matthew 5:9 – Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

The thang is 5 different exercises, 9 reps each. Exercise 1: burpees. Exercise 2: body builders – burpee with a plank jack. Exercise 3: burpee with 3 hand release merkins. Exercise 4: burpee with 3 jump squats. Exercise 5: combination of all the above – burpee with plank jack, 3 hand release merkins, and 3 jump squats.

After The Hightower, we ran up and down the court a few times. Then Lt. Dans: 1:4 ratio of squats to jump lunges. Went from 1:4 all the way up to 10:40.

During Mary, we drew the alphabet (capital letters), did gas pumps, American Hammers, and some plank variations that all the PAX enjoyed.
